Turning the Volume Up on Campus
Music runs through the veins of Gen Z students. It’s the soundtrack to their hectic lives and often their primary source of connecting with fellow students and stress relief.
The Amazon Prime Student Music Festival was a first-of-its-kind direct to campus music festival for students to break from their normal campus life and live out their festival dreams. The festival was complete with top-tiered Gen Z music acts including Lil Yachty, Blackbear, Playboy Cardi, Trippie Redd, Alison Wonderland, Pusha T and Lil Tecca matched with custom brand experiences for students to explore in the lead up of each show. All without needing to leave their campus.
Amazon Prime Student provided multiple student-centric experiences including VIP entrances, exclusive viewing areas for Prime members, artist meet and greets and brand specific experiences with the Prime Student Lounge, Amazon Web Services Tech Hub and Prime Video Silent Streaming experience.
The Prime Student Lounge consisted of color-coordinated product walls that played the perfect backdrop for social selfies and our Ask Alexa product giveaway game in which students were challenged to win a product from the wall by deciphering clues given by Alexa. If games and selfies weren’t your thing, the Lounge also included a curated Prime student ballpit slide, parlour-style socializing spaces, refreshments and charging stations.
The Amazon Web Services Career Goals experience opened students’ eyes to potential career paths utilizing AWS with brands such as Netflix, Uber, AirBnb and of course Amazon. The area allowed students to sign-up for free AWS courses and walk away with premium festival swag like sound sensitive sunglasses and LED bracelets to light up the night.
The Prime Video Silent Streaming room allowed students to discover and catch up on Prime Video favorites such as Jack Ryan, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Good Omens. Show specific swag was also provided to students.
Tour stops occurred at Florida State University, Texas State University, University of Oregon, University of Colorado Boulder, University of Missouri, University of Massachusetts Amherst, Ohio State University, University of Illinois, Arizona State University, and University of Southern California.
